Rene Herbst Highback Cord Sandows Chair

The Rene Herbst Highback Cord Sandows Chair is just one example of the pioneering use of industrial material for which Rene Herbst was famous. His development of this Highback Cord Chair was themed by the continuity of form that utilized elastic cords that, at that time, were used to wrap parcels. It was first released to the public at the Paris Salon d’Automne des Artistes Litterateurs in 1929. Rene Herbst founded the company Etablissements Rene Herbst in an effort to produce and sell his projects.
